Cricket News: India won the third T20I of the series by 10 runs in the 2nd super over. In a thrilling match between India and Afghanistan, the home side emerged victorious to win the series 3-0.

The third T20I between India and Afghanistan turned out to be an absolute thriller. Both the sides gave their best and ensured that the fans were entertained in the end. It was not  a dead rubber at all, as the players gave their best. In the end, India managed to win the match and win the series by a margin of 3-0 to extend their series winning streak in the format at home.

Batting first on a wicket that was going to get better, India were reduced to just 22/4 in quick time. Fareed Ahmad was on fire as he dismissed the star Indian batters like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, and Sanju Samson in quick time. The pacer got the ball to swing and threatened the Indian batters. From there, the duo of Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh steadied the Indian innings.

The duo first approached the game steadily. The duo played out the tough period and then took on the bolwers. In the first 15 overs of the match, India managed to score only 109 runs. What followed it was an absolute carnage. In the last 5 overs, India scored a whopping 103 runs. Rohit scored 121 runs in 69 balls. Rinku Singh scored 69 runs in 39 balls. 

India clinch the match despite the valiant efforts of Afghanistan

Chasing the target, India could not pick wickets quickly. However, the home side managed to keep Afghanistan on hold by choking them with accurate bowling. After the first 10 overs, India had conceded only 85 runs. What followed it was insane turn of events. Afghanistan returned from the short break and started smashing the Indian bolwers for fun. Gulbadin Naib was dangerous and took the game closer.

The efforts of Naib, Mohammad Nabi, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz meant that the game was dragged to the super overs. India could not defend 40 runs in the last 13 balls of the innings. The match went to two super overs and eventually it was India that ended up on the winning side by 10 runs.
