India is up against the spirited Afghanistan team in the 2nd T20I of the three-match series at Holkar Stadium in Indore. After winning the first match comfortably by 6 wickets, India will look to seal the deal by winning the 2nd T20I. On the other hand, Afghanistan will be desperate to get a win to remain alive in the series as well as give a statement to the world by beating India in their home.

The Indian team made two changes in the team from that which played in the first T20I in Mohali. Virat Kohli was back in the T20I setup after a hiatus of more than a year. Virat Kohli last played for India in the T20Is back in 2022 in the T20 World Cup semi-final.

Also, Yashasvi Jaiswal made a comeback in the side after missing the first match of the series due to a sore right groin. Virat Kohli replaced Tilak Varma while Jaiswal came in the place of Shubhman Gill. Shubman Gill, who opened in the previous match, failed to convert a promising start into a substantial score.
