India lost the 2nd T20I against South Africa at St George Park in Gqeberha by 5 wickets and is trailing the three-match T20I series by 1-0 after the first of the series at Durban got washed out. India posted a formidable total of 180 runs in 19.3 runs when the rain intervened, therefore South Africa got a revised target of 152 runs in 15 overs which they had chased down comfortably.
Although the India team lost the match, Rinku Singh came up as a knight with a shining armour for India, playing a sensational knock of 68 runs in just 39 deliveries after being at the No.5 batting position. India was in a precarious position, when Rinku Singh arrived. Singh had taken the international stage like a fish to the water as he played some crucial knocks at a brisk pace coming at No.5, even with the limited opportunities that were available to him.
