Team India is all set to take on New Zealand on October 22 in Dharamshala for their fifth game of the ODI World Cup 2023. Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. have displayed some fantastic performances in the marquee event as well as remaining undefeated in the tournament so far. However, the Black Caps also showed their tremendous form and placed themselves in the top spot in the points table.

However, Shubman Gill and skipper Rohit Sharma were spotted with their funny and hilarious talks ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023 clash against New Zealand. India's opening batsman was seen questioning Rohit Sharma about the unwanted records they had against New Zealand since 2003. In response, the 36-year-old skipper admitted that it was hard to beat the Kiwis. In addition, the Mumbai Indians skipper revealed that they will try to use tactic and proper approach to win the game against New Zealand in their next game.

"That's true. But we are playing good cricket and that's all we can do from our end. See we don't play the kind of cricket where we guarantee anything. When we reach the ground, we'll have to do what we are doing as a team. We can't think too far ahead. Yes, we've not had the result in the past," Rohit Sharma said in the video shared by Indian Cricket Board.

I told Shardul to get ready on the ball that Shreyas Iyer got out: Rohit Sharma

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill was jocularly asking Rohit Sharma why he didn't send Shardul Thakur to bat over KL Rahul during the clash against Bangladesh  in Pune. However, Rohit Sharma yet again came up with a funny response while calling the right-arm pacer the Big Player.

"I told Shardul to get ready on the ball that Shreyas Iyer got out. I told him 'Shardul, you will be in next.' But Shreyas got out on that delivery and by the time Shardul came down getting ready, Rahul had gone in to bat. They will get the chance. He is a big match player," he added further.
