Pakistan's team director, Mickey Arthur, expressed dissatisfaction with the organization of the India vs. Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 clash at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. Arthur complained about the songs played and the overwhelmingly partisan Indian crowd, as Pakistani fans and journalists awaited visas. The stadium with a capacity of over 130,000 was filled with Indian supporters, creating an intimidating atmosphere for the visiting team unfamiliar with Indian conditions.

In the match, India dominated, defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma's outstanding performance, scoring 86 runs in 63 balls, led India to chase down the modest target of 192 with 19.3 overs to spare. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj displayed clinical bowling, contributing to India's near-perfect performance. Rohit showcased an array of strokes, including a pull shot and a square-driven six, guiding India to victory.

This win marked India's eighth in the 50-over global event, highlighting Pakistan's historical struggle to match India in skill, strategy, and execution since 1992. The one-sided nature of the match underscored India's dominance over their arch-rivals in World Cup encounters.

India won the match by seven wickets

In the highly awaited clash of the ODI World Cup 2023 between traditional rivals India and Pakistan in Match 12, India secured a commanding victory, triumphing over Pakistan by seven wickets. India's opening batsmen, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, established an assertive tempo, particularly shining through Sharma's outstanding stroke play.

In pursuit of the 192-run target, India reached the victory with an impressive 117 deliveries remaining. Although Captain Sharma fell short of a century, an unbeaten 53 by Shreyas Iyer ensured India's comfortable triumph. This success elevated India to the summit of the points table, boasting three wins in as many matches and a commendable net run rate of +1.821 in the ODI World Cup 2023. Importantly, this win maintained India's unblemished record against Pakistan in the ODI World Cup 2023, making it eight victories in eight encounters between the two teams.
