Meanwhile, India's star cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin recently lauded Sanju Samson for his great captaincy for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. Notably, the 29-year-old cricketer was appointed the RR skipper back in 2022, where he guided his side to reach the finals; however, the Gujarat Titans beat them in the final game. The Rajasthan Royals finished in the fifth spot in the IPL 2023, narrowly missing out on the playoffs.

“On the field, I try and give him inputs as I see how the game is panning out. However, that relationship off the field doesn’t come on the field. It’s generally that younger brother, elder brother sort of a relationship off it. On the field, we are able to switch off," Ravichandran Ashwin said on Star Sports.

Sanju Samson is extremely funny off the field: Ravichandran Ashwin

India's all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin revealed how star batter Samson is on the field and how his captaincy makes the side unique in the IPL.

"I find Sanju as a young captain, he is able to differentiate, and demarcate both which is phenomenal. Sanju is extremely funny off the field. I am not sure a lot of people understand that or probably know that. It’s a problem of perfection a lot of people battle how you see someone on the ground and how they are off it, it’s completely different," he added.
