Jharkhand and Gujarat Titans' Robin Minz has met with a road accident ahead of the IPL 2024. He has a passion for superbikes but it went awry when his Kawasaki collided with another bike. As said by his father, Francis, his son lost control of his two-wheeler before colliding with another two-wheeler on March 2. While Minz's vehicle's front part is completely damaged, he didn't sustain any major injury.

"He lost control when his bike came in contact with another bike. Nothing serious at the moment and he is currently under observation," Minz's father disclosed as per News 18.

The wicketkeeper batter recently came home after playing for his state side, Jharkhand in the U23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy quarter-final against Karnataka. He scored 137 but the team failed as the opposition took a first-innings lead. Meanwhile, it is yet to be determined whether he will join his IPL team late in the pre-season camp. The Junior Minz hails from Shimal village in Jharkhand's Gumla district, while Francis, his father, is a retired army personnel, now works as a security guard at the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi.

Minz is coached by Chanchal Bhattacharya, MS Dhoni's one-time coach, Asif Haque, and SP Gautam at Sonnet Cricket Club in Ranchi. Meanwhile, during an interaction, Francis revealed that the Chennai Super Kings skipper told him that the IPL winners would look to sign him.

"If no one picks him, we will," Dhoni told Xavier Minz.

Chennai Super Kings failed to pick Robin Minz

The first-ever Aboriginal Indian player registered in the player auction with a base price of 20 Lakh. The most successful IPL teams, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings battled till the prices went to 1 Crore when the defending champions decided to pull out. They were replaced by the 2022 winners and they ended up acquiring Minz in the team.
