The Indian Premier League(IPL) 2024 auction is just a few days away with a lot of action surrounding it. We all know that all the franchises will look to plan their team and spend a lot of money on talented cricketers all around the world. Before we find out which team is going to rule the auction let’s take a look at who has the most brand value in the league. The IPL is going to be 17 years next season and it will be interesting to see which team is worth more and which team is struggling.

To no surprise, the top two positions have been taken by the two most popular teams in the league which are the Chennai Super Kings(CSK) and Mumbai Indians(MI). Both the teams have won 5 titles each making them the most successful teams in the IPL.  To everyone’s surprise, the Super Kings are leading the money race even after winning the title recently. The Mumbai Indians are leading the race with a Brand value of Rs. 725 crores while CSK are trailing behind with Rs. 672 crores.

Who takes the other spots?

The Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) have taken the 3rd spot with Rs. 655 crores despite a disappointing season showing their popularity. Speaking of popularity, the fan Favourite Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) takes the 4th spot with Rs. 582 crores. Despite not winning the trophy they are still everyone's favourite.  The 5th spot belongs to the Gujarat Titans with Rs.545 crores who have already impressed the fans by winning the title in their first season and reaching the finals in their second. The next two spots belong to the Delhi Capitals( Rs. 537 crore) and Rajasthan Royals( Rs. 521 crore) who are the most popular underdogs in the league.

The last three spots belong to the Sunrisers Hyderabad(Rs. 401 crore), Lucknow SuperGiants(Rs. 391 crore) and Punjab Kings(Rs. 377 crore). While the Sunrisers and Kings have not been everyone's favourite or successful in the tournament, the SuperGiants are low since they are known and don’t have a lot of big names in their team

Overall this is how the money race in the IPL is looking, but the tournament might have something else in store for us. The value for each team can get higher with great performance in the upcoming season as well. The money race is just the preparation and the final war and battle will begin on the field where millions of people will witness it and declare their champion.
