IPL 2024 is set to witness its first big dress rehearsal this coming Tuesday in Dubai. Ten teams will sit across the table to pick their favourite players for the next season. Chennai Super Kings has a huge bounty at their disposal to pick their favourite players.
MS Dhoni will be heading into his 17th season for the league at the age of 42. IPL 2023 was expected to be his final act in top-flight cricket. The Indian great led his side to their 5th IPL title win with a win over Gujarat Titans in the final.

Chennai Super Kings will want MS Dhoni to play a key role in grooming the next skipper. Ravindra Jadeja was a failed experiment during the IPL 2022 season. The man from Saurashtra led in a few games before stepping down as the skipper paving the way for MSD to take the reins. Ruturaj Gaikwad is already being spoken about as the future leader of CSK and MSD could certainly help the transition become smoother.
