The India vs England series is currently at 2-1 with the host leading the 5-match series so far. The 3rd Test match is something that ended in a one-sided landslide victory for India. There will be two matches left in the series that will decide the final outcome. The Indians will want to seal the series in Ranchi and can be in dominant in-home conditions once again. Rohit Sharma and his men will be ready for the challenge.
We have seen some great performances from the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and Yashasvi Jaiswal in the series. However, there is another player who has given great performances in the series with the ball as well. Jasprit Bumrah has been one of the best bowlers in the series so far. The star pacer is currently the highest wicket-taker in the series with 17 wickets in the 3 matches. Bumrah even managed to take the bulk of the wickets in the 2nd Test at Vizag as well and was the man of the match.
Boom Boom to be rested
Bumrah might have given some great performances in the series, but with the Indian Premier League(IPL) and T20 World Cup coming up, the 30-year-old pacer needs the rest to be fit for the big tournaments. It has been said that Bumrah who will be rested for the 4th Test scheduled to take place on the 23rd of February at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. This will also give some new faces a chance as well.
There are many who might think that this is not the right time for Bumrah to rest, but the fact is that we also have to think about future matches as well. It will be interesting to see who will take the place of Bumrah in the playing squad going into the next game. Bumrah is the bowler you need for the big games and we want him to be in his 100 per cent during those important contests in the game.
Here's how the fans have reacted-
