Virat Kohli ends his long-standing association
Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has ended his long-time association with Cornerstone, a sports management company based in Mumbai. The 35-year-old was managed by Bunty Sajdeh who also happens to be Ritika Sajdeh’s brother. Ritika as we know is the wife of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.
According to a source in the know who said “Yes, Kohli and Bunty have parted ways after a long and successful partnership. Over the years, there are a lot of other cricketers who’ve parted ways with Cornerstone. Rohit, KL Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane, Shubman Gill, and others. But Virat and Cornerstone were inseparable. Now that relationship is over too”
Virat Kohli and Bunty Sajdeh as per sources were more like brothers and the Indian run-machine’s commercial side was taken care of by Cornerstone. The source further said “The standing joke all along used to be about how it was Kohli who ran Cornerstone, not Bunty”
One of the reasons why the other cricketers including Rohit Sharma left Cornerstone was they felt left out. As per the people in the know, many of the cricketers felt that Virat Kohli was given more priority.
Cornerstone agreed with Dharma Productions and formed the Dharma Cornerstone Agency. The Sports management agency still has a lot of sports clients but their attention has slowly turned towards Bollywood.
