The India team lost the ODI World Cup 2023 final game to Australia by six wickets on Sunday. Star Indian cricket all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja posted a tweet where he posted a heartfelt message for Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
After Australia’s win over India, the entire team and the nation descended into a gloom. As per reports, the entire Indian unit were seen in tears after the heartbreaking loss on Sunday.
Australia won their 6th World Cup title after chasing the 241-run target set by India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Glenn Maxwell hit the winning shot after Travis Head was out after scoring a match-winning century.

Moments, after the Australian win, an air of sadness prevailed in the Indian dressing room. All the plrayers in the India team expresed their sadness as there was a pall of gloom for missing out yet another opportunity to be the World's best cricket team in the tournament.
Ravindra Jadeja took to Twitter and posted a picture of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visiting the dressing room. The 34-year-old wrote “We had a great tournament but we ended up short yesterday. We are all heartbroken but the support of our people is keeping us going. PM @narendramodi’s visit to the dressing room yesterday was special and very motivating”

The Indian Prime Minister had lauded the entire team for its efforts giving special praise to Mohammed Shami. The Indian pacer ended the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament as the leading pacer.
Mohammed Shami for his part took to Twitter and wrote - “Unfortunately yesterday was not our day. I would like to thank all Indians for supporting our team and me throughout the tournament. Thankful to PM @narendramodi for specially coming to the dressing room and raising our spirits. We will bounce back”

The Indian team is next set to play a five-match T20 series against Australia starting on the 23rd of November. Suryakumar Yadav is the leading candidate to lead the side as most of the senior players are set to be rested for the series.
