Unbeaten teams India and New Zealand are to set to battle in the key game of the ODI World Cup 2023 game in Dharamshala and here is the all-important weather update

India’s cricket-crazy fans are expected to throng the stadium in Dharamshala on Sunday. it is going to be a cracker of a contest between India and New Zealand during the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.

The Indian team comes into the game on the back of a 7-wicket win over Bangladesh in Pune. This win was India’s fourth win of the tournament after their wins over Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

The Kiwis had beaten India the last the two teams met during the 2019 World Cup in Manchester. Tom Latham and his side began with a 9-wicket win over England. This was followed by wins over the Netherlands, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.

The Dharamshala ground has hosted three  World Cup 2023 games so far. Bangladesh won the game against Afghanistan while chasing in a day game. The next game was also a day game between England and Bangladesh which was won by England by 137 runs.

The daytime weather is expected to be pleasant with a little chance for rain which is very minimal. There could be periods where the cloud cover could help the swing bowlers with the new ball. 

Spin could come into play if there is bright sunshine and this is where India could come into the equation. The last game played here was under lights with South Africa losing to the Dutch team. The Netherlands spin trip ran roughshod of the South African batting. 

The captain winning the toss would want to bowl first this is because of the dew which could play a role. The team batting second could find chasing a bit easier on a cold Sunday in Dharamshala.

Mohammad Shami is sure to replace Shardul Thakur in the playing XI. Suryakumar Yadav could come into the team to replace Hardik Pandya. There is also a chance that Ishan Kishan could be looked into the XI.

Tim Southee has been passed fit for the game and he could be an interesting option. Matt Henry Could make his way out of the team if the veteran makes a comeback to the playing XI. This will be the 10th time the two teams play in the World Cup, the Kiwis lead with 5 wins to India’s 3 wins with one game being a no-result.
