Six world cup winners returning home

The six-time ODI World Cup champions Australia are all set to lock horns against hosts India for the third T20I slated to take place on November 28 in Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Notably, Australia are 0-2 against India in the five matches of the T20 series. However, Cricket Australia has named the fresh and the new series in the middle of the five matches of the T20I series for the rest of the three games.

Notably, Australia has released six ODI World Cup-winning stars, namely Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Sean Abbott, Josh Inglis, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa, ahead of the three games. However, ODI World Cup 2023 winning match star Travis Head is in India, and he is set to play the rest of the three games against India.

According to sources, Cricket Australia has planned to give them the break as they have been in India for two months and playing the games continuously without any break. Notably, the players first played the ODI series against India before the ODI World Cup 2023. However, Travis Head missed the ODI series and a few matches of the ODI World Cup 2023 owing to injuries.
