Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has embarked on a new chapter in his IPL journey, moving from Mumbai Indians (MI) to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a significant INR 17.5 crore all-cash deal. The announcement of his move to RCB has created a buzz on social media platforms. From excited welcomes to concerns about team dynamics, RCB fans have shared diverse opinions.

During his stint with MI in the 2023 IPL season, Green showcased his prowess, accumulating an impressive 452 runs in 16 matches at an average of 50.22. RCB enjoys a huge fan base and Green is excited for a role in the Bengaluru-based team. In a video posted by the franchise on Instagram, the Aussie expressed his eagerness to join Andy Flower in the team. Flower, serving as the head coach for RCB, also juggles coaching roles in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Multan Sultans and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with St Lucia Kings.

In his video Green said, "Hey RCB fans, Cameron Green here. I just want to say how excited I am to be joining Andy Flower in the team. I can’t wait to see you guys soon at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Cheers!”.

MI also expressed gratitude for Green's contributions in a heartfelt statement, acknowledging the difficulty of goodbyes. The MI Paltan thanked him for the wonderful memories created during the 2023 IPL season, marking the end of Green's chapter in the Blue and Gold.
