The 1st T20I between India and Afghanistan is about to take place at the IS Bindra stadium in Mohali. The series will start with the people excited to see what this squad has in store and how the future of the team looks with the T20 World Cup 2024 coming up. This will be a test for both sides with India looking to test some players out and see how they can build a formidable squad for the shortest formats and Afghanistan looking to give their best performances having their own T20 superstars in the ranks. India might be the favourites going into the series, but the Afghan boys are not to be taken lightly.

The squads of both the teams look really good going into this much awaited series with the right amount of talent and experience. Both the teams have a fair share of explosive batters, impactful all rounders and terrific bowlers. The Men in blue are currently the number 1 ranked T20I side and will look to keep it that way by giving another dominant performance like they have done in the past and on the other hand Afghanistan might not be very close in the rankings, but they have shown great potential in this format and will still look to surprise the Indians at their home ground.

Cold practice session at Mohali

The weather at Mohali right now is at 10 degrees celsius and there are a lot of cold hands in the stadium as the Indians start their practice. The amount of jackets and gloves seen and the players rubbing their hands is enough to prove that this was a freezing session at the ground. It still shows the determination of the team to get used to the conditions and still have a great practice session. The players were still having a great session even in this weather along with coach Rahul Dravid still motivating the players during these weather conditions.

Looking at these conditions can also be a clue on how this ground and conditions will be during the match. The fact that the Indian team wants to stay prepared for anything and choose to practise in these tough conditions is still commendable. This keeps the hype of the upcoming series alive and we can’t wait to see how the players will perform in these difficult conditions. Let’s hope that the efforts by the Indian side have some positive outcome and the people will once again hope to get a cracker of a game once again. Everyone will stay tuned for the 1st T20I where both these Asian sides will battle it out.
