Indian Cricketers at Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple

The India vs Afghanistan T20I has started brilliantly for the hosts with them already taking the series 2-0 with one match to go. The second game witnessed another one-sided affair where even after a great effort by Afghanistan in the match on the back of a brilliant half-century from Gulbadin Naib got to their highest score against India of 172. Despite getting the prized wickets of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma early, the target was chased down easily with just 26 deliveries to spare. It was Yashasavi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube who set the tone with beautiful knocks to win the game for their side. The man of the match was Axar Patel who bowled a brilliant spell of 2/17 in his 4 overs on a flat track.

There is no doubt that these Indian players are talented and skilled, but some of them will still have some religious beliefs. This is after all a democracy that allows us to follow every religion and teaches us to respect everyone’s religious beliefs. It is no surprise that most of these players would still ask for God’s blessings whenever they get the chance. This is also a squad full of young players, who will need all the good luck they can get to fix their position in one of the best teams in International cricket.

The players were young and upcoming players Tilak Varma, Washington Sundar, Jitesh Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi. These young stars were seen asking for the blessings of the one and only Lord Shiva. This shows the religious side of the players who seem like invincible people on the field and respect the religious beliefs of one another.
