The year 2023 is set to end with ample memories behind us. Cricket too saw some amazing moments take place this year which will turn into memories for a lifetime. Many Indian Cricket fans would have hoped for Rohit Sharma to hold aloft the ODI World Cup title. 

It has been a terrific year for the Australian team having won the World Test Championships and the ODI World Cup titles. Fans of MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings will remember this year with glee as they won their 5^th IPL title.

MS Dhoni seen signing Sunil Gavaskar’s shirt –

IPL 2023, was widely believed to be the final season for MS Dhoni at the top level. After a game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunil Gavaskar was present on the ground. On spotting the Chennai Super Kings skipper the former Indian legend made a unique request. Sunil Gavaskar wanted MSD to sign on his shirt which the 42-year-old promptly obliged to. It was a heart-touching moment for cricket fans at the respect shown between the two greats.

David Warner’s Pushpa Celebration –

Australian opener David Warner has always shown his love towards India in many ways. During the ODI World Cup 2023 campaign, David Warner came up with a special gesture after scoring his century. The Australian batter pulled out the famed Pushpa pose and delighted the Indian crowds.

Rishabh Pant and his fitness updates –

On 29^th December, 2022 Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant met with a terrible accident. The news a million fans heartbroken as the youngster was just coming into his as a player. As the weeks and months wore on Rishabh Pant kept his fans updated as far as his fitness was concerned. While the start of the year saw the youngster use crutches by the time the end of 2023 was near, Pant was seen playing Padel Tennis with his mentor MS Dhoni.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz gives money to the needy –

Afghanistan players won the hearts of a million Indian fans not just on the field but also off the field. After displaying amazing batting talents during the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament, Rahmanullah Gurbaz did something heart-touching. The young Afghan was seen keeping money by the bedside of needy and homeless people. What made this even more special and beautiful was that Gurbaz did it in the middle of the night to escape public view. the gesture was widely well-loved as it was done on the eve of Diwali. 

Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni’s emotional embrace –

Moments after Ravindra Jadeja hit Mohit Sharma for a four there was wild celebration in the Chennai Super Kings camp. There were celebrations mixed with tears of joy. The biggest moment of the game came when a teary-eyed MS Dhoni was seen holding Ravindra Jadeja in a tight embrace. Both players didn’t share a great bond after the captaincy fiasco of 2022 but that winning hit seemed to mend the fences between the two players.-
