The Indian team are currently on a high after their big win against England in the ongoing five- match series. This was a complete hammering given by the Indians on what looked like a flat surface. The Indians did not give a sniff to the England batters at all. There was only one day where England were looking good in the entire match. Except for the brilliant hundred from Ben Duckett, there is hardly anything positive to look back at this game for the poms.
Ravindra Jadeja might have set the tone for the home team early on, but it is Yashasvi Jaiswal who was the man that completely took the game away from the visitors. His 214 runs came of just 236 deliveries. Jaiswal had also hit 14 fours and 12 sixes in the innings as well, sharing the record of the most sixes in an innings in a Test match. There are only great things to say about the 22-year-old Southpaw.
Rohit does not praise the star
Jaiswal has been getting praises from everywhere around the world right now. All the experts and the fans were impresses with his flawless technique and natural aggression he shows in his batting. However, India skipper Rohit Sharma has decided not to praise him that much during the conference saying “ I've spoken a lot about him. I'm sure people outside the changing room have also been talking about him. I want to be calm about him, not talk a lot about him.”
This might be a great tactic by the captain, who probably does not want to put as much pressure on his shoulder’s yet. We all can understand this move since Jaiswal is still early into his career. There is no doubt that Jaiswal deserves all the praises he is getting right now, but hearing these words from Rohit, he wants him to concentrate on his game and give consistent performances. This is a bold and tough move by the skipper. And we hope it has a positive outcome going into the bright looking future of Jaiswal's career in the longest format of the game.
