Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah sent the social media platform into a meltdown with a cryptic message. The 29-year-old had posted an Instagram story which read “Silence is sometimes the best answer”
Former Indian skipper, Kris Srikkanth has come out and made a huge statement on the social media post made by the Indian pacer. Kris Srikkanth has reasoned out that it could be because of what is happening in Mumbai Indians.
Jasprit Bumrah is currently on a break after playing in the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. The right-arm pacer has been rested for the T20 series against Australia and is set to be back for the South African series.
Kris Srikkanth’s statement on Jasprit Bumrah –
Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah on Tuesday shocked social media with his cryptic message. Kris Srikkanth gave his views on this when he said “You can’t find another cricketer like Jasprit Bumrah. Be it test or white-ball format, he is one of the best going around”
The former India legend also wondered if the return of Hardik Pandya is one of the reasons behind such a message. “He must be feeling that he stayed back with MI but the franchise is now celebrating who left and came back”
The last part was a direct dig at Hardik Pandya, who had spent the last two IPL editions with Gujarat Titans. In fact it was under the Indian all-rounder that Gujarat won the IPL in their debut season and reached the finals in 2023.
“Something, similar happened with Ravindra Jadeja at CSK. But the team management and the captain came in and sorted out everything. What will happen is, am sure the team management will sit with Hardik Pandya, Bumrah, and Rohit and sort out things. I would be hurt if something like that happened to me. After Hardik Pandya, Bumrah might think, I am from Gujarat I could have captained the team”
While it isn’t clear what the message by Bumrah meant, the speculations are rife on social media. Many RCB fans had speculated that Bumrah was on his way to the Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was also reported that the bowler wasn’t following Mumbai Indians, but it later came to light that Bumrah hadn’t been following any of the IPL teams before.
