Indian Cricket Board have finally announced the squad for the last three Test matches against England on Saturday. Some major changes have been made in the squad.

Virat Kohli withdrew his name from India’s squad for the rest of the series due to personal reasons. Former India fast bowler Ajit Agarkar led the Indian men’s selection committee have announced the final squad. 

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Middle-order batter KL Rahul are included in the squad. Whether they will play or not is subject to their fitness as per the Indian Cricket Board medical team. Middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the series because of groin and back injury. He will report to NCA (National Cricket Academy), Bengaluru.

It’s a tough job for the Indian Cricket Board selection committee

Mohammad Siraj who was not a part of the second Test for workload management, is back in the squad. According to rumours in social media, Jasprit Bumrah’s unavailability but the Indian Cricket Board have confirmed Bumrah will play. Left-arm Pacer Akash Deep from Bengal got his maiden call-up in the squad. Selectors have decided to pick him instead of pacer Avesh Khan.

England won the first Test in Hyderabad, then India bounced back and levelled the five-match Test series by 1-1 in the second Test in Visakhapatnam. India will play the final three Tests in Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamsala Respectively. The third Test of this series is scheduled to begin on February 15.
