The India vs England Test series is one of the series to watch where both these top-ranked teams will go head to head in a 5-match Test series. There is already a lot of talk about whether the Indian talent will be able to decode the Bazball tactic that has been one of the most unique approaches by the English side or will the England team be able to stand up against the Indian spin attack which has created havoc in their batting lineup in the past. This will surely be a test for both teams who will look to dominate each other in this much-awaited contest.

The man leading the India side will be none other than the hitman Rohit Sharma who has been one of the most successful skippers for India so far. Rohit has been as successful in the red ball format as he has been in the white ball format. He has played 54 games already and has scored more than 3500 runs at an average of over 45. His career as Test captain has been equally remarkable where he has led the side in 11 matches and has won 6, drawn 2 and lost 3. He has a win rate of 54.54% so far and will look to increase that in the series as well.

Sunil Gavaskar advises the skipper

India's legendary batter and 1983 World Cup winner Sunil Gavaskar also had some great advice for the India captain. While talking on Star Sports the little master had first brought up Rohit’s century in Chennai last season where he was attacking the batters on a spin-friendly wicket. Gavaskar also went about advising Rohit on a rotation of bowlers saying “As captain, Rohit Sharma will need to use his bowlers cleverly. Usually in Hyderabad, there is not enough turn on offer.”

These were wise words from Gavaskar keeping in mind the attacking nature of the England batters, who had made it a habit of attacking the bowlers and putting them under pressure straight away. It will be interesting to see if Rohit has some trick under his sleeve once again to stop the onslaught from the English batters going into the series. There is no doubt he has some world-class bowlers in the ranks, but he will still need to use them well according to the situation given at hand.
