A new cricket stadium is set to be built in Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh, which will help the cricket fans of the city and the region to enjoy high-class matches in the future. The famous construction company Larsen and Turbo won the bid to construct the new international stadium from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association in one of the most popular cities in India 

The construction company said that the stadium will be built on a design and turnkey basis. The concept images of the stadium are released by the construction company in their press release, which is being shared by the fans on social media. The audience who will potentially get to witness international matches at the venue is delighted by the concept image.  

The stadium in Varanasi is set to be built across an area of about 30.67 acres, which is approximately equivalent to 12.4 hectares. The reports suggest that the capacity of the stadium will be to accommodate 30,000 spectators at a time. The area of the stadium will have a practice ground, Kitchen and dining areas, Press conference areas, Office area, Broadcasting area, corporate boxes, and VIP lounges.  

Construction is likely to start by the end of the year

The scope of the stadium will have the main ground in terms of the international cricket board’s standards. Along with the above-mentioned features, there will also be floodlights and display scoreboards installed in the area. Upon completion, Varanasi Stadium will be the third international stadium in Uttar Pradesh after Green Park Stadium in Kanpur and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.  

The construction of the stadium is likely to start by the end of this year. The deadline for the completion of the stadium is set for December 2024. The design of the stadiums looks good with all the modern amenities in them. The stadium is set to help the audience of the region and those from the state of Bihar. Earlier this year, the process of land acquisition of 31 acres happened for the construction of the stadium.
