However, the most anticipated clash of the 13th edition of the marquee event was originally scheduled in Ahmedabad for Sunday, October 15, but has now moved to Saturday, October 14 at the same venue.
As a result of this, the England game against Afghanistan has also been moved from Saturday, October 14, to Sunday, October 15 in Delhi. Pakistan vs Sri Lanka in Hyderabad is also shifted from Thursday, October 12 to now on Tuesday, October 10. Australia's one of the most important games against South Africa in Lucknow is now 24 hours earlier on Friday, October 13.
There are also major changes made to the schedule towards the end of the league stages. There are three changes, now the doubleheader encounters on Sunday, November 12, are moved one day earlier to Sunday 11, which is the day game of Australia vs Pakistan in Pune, and in the latter half, it will be England vs Pakistan in Kolkata. Anyway, India’s last league match in the ODI World Cup 2023 against the Netherlands has moved one day ahead from November 11 to November 12. The game will be played in Bengaluru.
India and Pakistan will be up against each other this year in Asia Cup and ODI World Cup
The ODI World Cup 2023 will begin with defending champions England taking on the runner-ups from the last two editions of the tournament, New Zealand, at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday, October, 4. This venue will also host the Final of the tournament on Sunday, November 19.
It is also pertinent to mention that India and Pakistan will also meet in the Asia Cup 2023 on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh are in the same group in the continental championship, Starting August 30, 2023, the matches will be played in a hybrid model, as Pakistan will host four games while the remaining nine matches will be in Sri Lanka in Asia Cup.
