RCB are facing the UP Warriorz in their last league match at Bengaluru. Both teams have won two out of the 4 matches they have played so far. It was a Smriti Mandhana show at Chinnaswamy today as she clobbered the UPW bowlers to all park to reach 198 runs in their 20 overs.
Despite the show put up by Smriti Mandhana, the highlight of the RCB innings proved to be Ellyse Perry's huge six that broke the glass of Woman of the Tournament put up at display at the ground. Deepti Sharma bowled one in the slot and Perry hoicked the ball to the mid-wicket boundary with full force and the ball smashed the glass of the car in the crowd leaving everybody stunned.
As the ball broke the glass, Perry’s cheeky reaction won the hearts of fans who witnessed the monstrous hit. You can watch the video here:

Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry lit up the Chinnaswamy
After being put into bat it was bat on a flat Chinnaswamy wicket, RCB came in with a different opening combination as Sabbineni Meghana opened the innings along with Smriti Mandhana in place of Sophie Devine. It was a successful experiment as they put on a 50-run opening stand in just five overs.
But as the first wicket fell, Perry came in to support Mandhana and both of them stitched a 95-run partnership for the 2nd wicket. Smriti Mandhana played a blistering knock of 80 runs in just 50 deliveries. Her innings included ten boundaries and three towering sixes. Ellyse Perry complemented Smriti Mandhana really well with her well-crafted 58 runs off just 37 balls.
RCB have lost their last two matches and would like to come back strong and proceed to the next leg of the tournament at Delhi with a win. On the other, if UPW wants to chase down the target then they would like their captain Alyssa Healy to fire.
