Birmingham Phoenix won the match by seven wickets on the back of the fifties from skipper Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone. Moeen Ali scored a quickfire fifty off just twenty-eight balls to take his team home. On the 86th ball of the match, the Rockets skipper Lewis Gregory bowled a full toss and Liam Livingstone smacked it for a one-hand six into the crowd. And eventually, that six sealed the match for Birmingham Phoenix with almost fourteen balls to spare.

Birmingham Phoenix thrashed Trent Rockets to win the match by seven wickets. After calling it right at the toss, the Phoenix skipper Moeen Ali decided to ball first. Trent Rockets struggled to get off to a good start after losing both the openers for just eleven runs. They lost half of their side after pitting fifty-two runs on the board. Samit Patel's wicket put the Rockets in the mud.

In an anti-climax, skipper Lewis Gregory and Daniel Sams joined hands for the Rockets and put on a splendid partnership. Daniel Sams managed to bag a fifty off just 25 balls, comprising of five 4s and two 6s. Skipper Gregory remained unbeaten for a well-made 35. Trent Rockets, as a result, managed to score 145 runs at the end of the first innings.

In pursuit of the target, Birmingham Phoenix lost Will Smeed first up for just two runs. Miles Hammond followed him to the dressing room soon after. Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone then joined hands to put on an 85-run partnership for the third wicket. The fifties from both the skipper Ali and Livingstone sealed the match for the Phoenix. Moeen Ali perished for a well-made 52, while Liam Livingstone remained unbeaten right till the end.
