The wedding season is going on in Team India as two cricketers have got married this year so far and one is set to get married soon. It started off with opener KL Rahul's marriage to Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, followed by all-rounder Axar Patel marrying his friend Meha Patel. Now, according to reports, pacer Shardul Thakur is all set to tie the knot with Mittali Parulkar in a grand ceremony on Monday, February 27.

The couple, who got engaged in November 2021, had traditional ceremonies like Sangeet, Haldi and a modern-themed pool party ahead of the wedding, the pictures of which went viral on social media. Thakur's family members, friends and teammates attended the function. India captain Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Kolkata franchise team management member Abhishek Nayar, Mumbai player Siddhesh Lad and Choreographer and Yuzvendra Chahal's wife Dhanashree Verma were also among those present at the function.

In a video from their evening celebration, Iyer and Nayar were seen singing on the stage along with Thakur. While Iyer and Nayar sang a romantic Bollywood song, Thakur performed a short dance with his soon-to-be wife, Mittali Parulkar.

Videos and pictures of couple's Haldi ceremony were also trending on social media. Shardul looked handsome in a kurta and Mittali looked pretty too while wearing a Mehendi.

Who is Thakur's wife Mittali Parulkar?

Mittali Parulkar is a businesswoman and entrepreneur based in Mumbai. Her passion is baking and she had to compromise her corporate job in 2020 to pursue her dream. Mithali runs 'All the Jazz Luxury Bakes', a bakery specializing in customized cakes, pastries and desserts. Thakur and Mittali had been dating for quite some time before they got engaged last year.

Meanwhile, the Indian bowling all-rounder is away from international cricket for a while and is all set to play in the Indian T20 League starting on March 31. Thakur, who played for the Delhi franchise last year, has been acquired by Kolkata this year. He shares a good bond with Kolkata captain Shreyas Iyer and the management hopes that the duo will try their best to lift their third ITL title.
