Virat Kohli, the big name in Indian cricket, will take on the green arena, once again, in the Asia Cup 2022. The batter has missed a lot of games in the current year and was given a break to reflect on his slump in form. The batter has worked on his fitness in both physical and mental aspects and will once again take the MRF Wizard to collect runs under his name.

The name that once ruled the cricket world has settled down for a while. The Delhi batter hit his last century back in 2019 November. He is presently in the top 10 only in the ODI rankings and has been thrown out of the top 10 rankings in T20I and Test formats.

The stature is so high that the batter is idolized beyond borders and almost in every nook and corner of the world. The Indian team arrived with full confidence in Dubai and testified themselves in the nets first up. Many emotional incidents have taken place since the arrival of the teams with fans wanting to meet their star players before they get busy with their schedules. One fan from Pakistan approached Virat Kohli and asked for his picture.

The security guards, however, did not allow for the same and Virat Kohli did not take much time to get to know about the incident. The Indian star, despite his sky staggering stature, proved his modesty once again as he went ahead to click a picture with the fan.

Virat Kohli's humble gesture towards his Pakistani fan

In an interaction with PakTV, the fan revealed his name to be Mohammad Jibran and he had come from Pakistan just to meet the Indian veteran. He did not shy away from admitting the fact that Virat Kohli is his only idol and doesn't mind about the country he comes from. Jibran added that he was emotional when he took the picture and commended the player's humility.

"I am not a fan of anyone but Virat Kohli, for whom I have come from Pakistan hoping to get a picture clicked with him. I waited for an entire month for this so the moment he finished his practice and was about to go back to his hotel, I tried a lot. He is an amazing person besides being a fabulous cricketer. He listened to me and agreed to my request of getting the selfie clicked,” he said to PakTV.
