The 2023 ODI World Cup is just two weeks from its start. Excitement is running high amongst the fans to see their favorite stars in action. Team India will be under pressure as the hosts of the tournament. The onus will be on skipper Rohit Sharma to do what MS Dhoni did 12 years ago.

Wednesday was a busy day as far as the preparations for the ODI World Cup are concerned. Ranveer Singh was in focus as he was the face of the World Cup 2023 anthem which was released on Wednesday.

The Indian fans though were waiting with bated breath to see the playing kit and the fans were not let down. Once the promo video was launched, the Indian cricket fans were left speechless. The delight at seeing the Indian playing kit took social media by storm.

New Indian kit evokes massive positive response from the fans

The Indian kit sponsors took to Twitter to reveal the look of the Indian team’s jersey. The apparel giants who are also the kit sponsors for the Indian cricket team did something unique. The three white stripes on the shoulders were replaced by the Indian Tri-Color.

This move won a lot of hearts as it met wide approval from the cricket-crazy Indian fans. The launch video which is 2 minutes 21 seconds has a rap song which is being sung by famous artist Raftaar.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli along with every member of the Indian squad for the World Cup are featured. The main message of the video is "3 ka Dream" which roughly states the dream of a 3rd World Cup title. The last time India won a global title was in 2013. MS Dhoni and his side beat England by 5 runs to win the Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma has just led the Indian team to the Asia Cup 2023 title win.

India will play Australia on 8th October in the first match of the ODI World Cup. 14th October is the day everyone is waiting for India and Pakistan then face off for the 8th time in the ODI World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
