The West Indies cricket team beat England by four wickets in the 5th T20I on December 22 at Brain Lara Cricket Academy. Notably, the West Indies clinched the five matches of the T20I series by 3-2 owing to their brilliant comeback in the last and final game. However, the West Indies were already ahead in the series with their first two wins, but England bounced back greatly in the third and fourth T20Is. Meanwhile, England could not maintain the winning momentum, which made them lose the ODI series after the T20I series.

Speaking of the game, it was West Indies skipper Rovman Powell who won the toss and invited visiting sides to bat first. However, after being put to bat first, England was all out for just 132 runs in 19.3 overs. Meanwhile, the home team chased down the total with four balls to spare to win the series.

Meanwhile, West Indies skipper Rovman Powell expressed his happiness after the series win. The middle-order batter reveals that their side failed to execute their plans in the third and fourth T20Is, but they had the chance to win the series in the final T20I. In addition, the 30-year-old cricketer was happy to lead his side to the win.

I try to lead from the front and they respect me so much: Rovman Powell

"Special thanks to the crowd of  Trinidad and Tobago. We spent some time yesterday. We had some meetings. In the last two games, the guys didn't execute. We always knew Hope would be an important batter in this wicket. Credit to the groundsmen across the series. We as players are unhappy so many times. Motie was very good. Was good to mix experience with youth. I have a good bunch of guys around me. I try to lead from the front and they respect me so much," Rovman Powell said at the post-match presentation.
