After winning the 1st T20I of the three-match series by 11 runs, Australia are facing the West Indies again in the 2nd T20I at the Adelaide Oval. David Warner shined for Australia in the 1st T20I with 70 runs off just 36 balls in his 100th T20I for Australia to take them to a winning total of 213 runs.

In response, the explosive West Indian batting also put up a good show in the 1st T20I and made 202 runs eventually losing the match by just 11 runs. West Indies would look to turn it around in the 2nd T20I and stay afloat in the series whereas Australia will come out to seal the deal in the 2nd T20I and take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.

Talking about the 2nd T20I so far, after winning the toss, West Indies invited Australia to bat first on the batting paradise of Adelaide Oval. Despite being a good batting wicket, West Indies got Australia reeling on 57 for 3 but after that, it was all the Glenn Maxwell show.

Glenn Maxwell batted in his usual unorthodox self and belted the West Indian bowlers to all parts of the ground and in no time brought his 5th T20I century for Australia. Maxwell finished on 120 not out in just 55 deliveries at the end of 20 overs and his innings included 12 boundaries and 8 sixes.

Glenn Maxwell's explosive batting and Tim David’s late burst of 31 runs in just 14 balls took Australia’s total to a mammoth 241 runs at the end of the 20 overs. Maxwell has now equaled Rohit Sharma’s record of 5 T20I tons with Suryakumar Yadav to follow with 4 centuries.
