The 2nd Test of the series between India and England is still in the control of the hosts and Rohit Sharma and his men will be looking to win this to come back in the series. India would have been slightly disappointed that they could not get past the 400 mark with some great bowling performances from the England bowlers to keep them restricted on 396 runs. The England openers Zack Crawley and Ben Duckett’s positive approach might have given them some hope, but that could not stop the Indian bowlers from coming back and bowling them out for 253 in the end. India is looking completely stable with both the Indian openers still unbeaten on 28-0 and with a lead of 171 runs.

England will be disappointed in this innings where only one batter was able to cross the 50-run mark in the entire innings. The hero from the last match Ollie Pope and England ‘s superstar batter Joe Root could not get going in the match. The only positives for England in this match so far was Zack Crawley with his brilliant knock of 76 and  James Anderson with his great spell of 3/47 in 25 overs which helped in keeping the Indian score under 400. Despite these great performances England are still trailing behind in this Test match.

The day of the young sensation and star pacer

The day certainly belongs to Yashasavi Jaiswal and Jasprit Bumrah, who made impressive contributions in the match. Jaiswal’s terrific double century was what set the platform of the Indian innings to get a total close to 400. While all the other batters had thrown away their great starts, it was Jaiswal who kept them  afloat with his terrific 209 runs from 290 deliveries. The other sensational performance was from Jasprit Bumrah  whose spell was enough to get the England team bowled out and give India the lead. This is Bumrah’s  10th five wicket haul with great figures of 6/45 in his 15.5 overs.

India will have to take advantage after getting the lead and have to put up a huge total to chase down for the visitors. They have to learn from their mistakes from the last game and show the England players how to play in the sub-continent. The game is still on and the Indians are in a strong position, however the England batters can still not be taken lightly in this game. The England will want to get the Indians bowled out as soon as possible and the Indian batters will be looking to put some big runs on the board .
