The India vs England series 1st Test in Hyderabad is in control of the host after two days where the England team struggles to continue in the game. The first day already saw the England batters struggling against the Indian spin attack who were not only getting enough drift and turn to create problems for the England batter but also were showcasing great accuracy as well and bowling according to the conditions. In reply, the Indian batters had already taken the England bowlers apart on the first day and continued the same dominance on the 2nd day as well.

The Indians are currently on 421-7 after the end of day 2 and are looking good with a lead of 175 runs on the board. The left-handed duo of Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja are still at the crease and will be looking to increase the lead even more. The Indian batters were completely dominating the England bowlers not giving them a single sniff at all. Every time a partnership was broken another was always built. This was another dominating performance by India where England can only be spectators on the field.

KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja continuing the onslaught

It was Yashasavi Jaiswal who was the star on Day 1 who was playing his own aggressive and fearless style of cricket to put the England bowlers under pressure straight away. However, it was KL Rahul who took the reigns and continued to dominate the England bowlers. Rahul’s innings of 86 runs from 123 deliveries kept the Indian innings alive with his great stroke play where he was dominating the spinners even in these tough conditions. It was then Ravindra Jadeja who had already contributed with the ball by taking a 3-fer and is now unbeaten on 81 from 155 deliveries which include 7 fours and 2 sixes.

There were also some starts by some Indian batters in the middle, but it was these two batters who were the stars of the day. Ben Stokes and his men will have to make a solid comeback and try to bowl out the Indian batters. However, it seems like the damage is already done in the 1st innings and the chances of England coming back into the game seem very less. The pitch is getting tougher which will mean it is going to get tougher for the England batters to play if India manages to increase the lead further on day 3. It will be interesting to see how long will Axar and Jadeja hold on before declaring their innings.
