Team India won the second game on Sunday as Suryakumar Yadav and his side took a 2-0 lead in the series. India came into the game after having won the first game in Visakhapatnam by 2 wickets.

Matthew Wade won the toss and chose to bowl first to make use of the dew that was present in the ground. India went in with the same team while Australia had Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa back in the playing XI.

India scored a massive 235 runs on the board thanks to half-centuries by India’s top three batters. The series now moves to Guwahati as the third T20 will be played at Barsapara Cricket Ground on Tuesday.

India shows their class against Australia yet again –

Put into bat first, India scored 235 runs for the loss of 4 wickets from their 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a blistering half-century which came off just 24 balls as the youngster was out for 53 runs from 25 balls. Both the Indian openers added 77 runs which came off just 35 balls.

Ishan Kishan came into bat and added 87 runs for the 2nd wicket with Ruturaj Gaikwad in just 57 balls. Ruturaj Gaikwad was circumspect as Ishan Kishan played aggressively to score 52 runs. India’s top scorer was Ruturaj Gaikwad who scored 58 runs from 43 balls. Rinku Singh swung his bat to score 31 runs off 9 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Chasing 236 to win, Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel had the Australians in trouble early. Matthew Short was out for 19 after he was bowled by Ravi Bishnoi for a second game in a row. Josh Inglis was out for 2 while Glenn Maxwell was out for 12 to leave Australia leaving at 58/4.

Tim David and Marcus Stoinis then added 81 runs for the 5th wicket and were starting to look dangerous. Ravi Bishnoi struck again when he got Tim David out for 37 and this ended Australia’s hopes of winning the game as India wrapped up the game in style.
