The 6IXTY is all set to go underway later this month. The Caribbean Premier League and the cricket board of West Indies have come forward to come up with the league which will be played in T10 Format. Jamaica Tallawahs, Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Saint Lucia Kings, Trinidad Knight Riders, and St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots will compete against each other in the league.
The purpose of the league is to create a revolution in the T10 format. The matches will begin on August 24 and the finals will be played on August 28.

Rules and Regulations of The 6IXTY:
- Only six wickets will be there for a team in an innings instead of ten wickets
- Rules are strict pertaining to over-rate. Teams that cannot maintain the over-rate will be forced to play one field short in the final six balls. Slow over-rate can prove to be costly for the team committing the fault.
- Teams will be required to bowl five consecutive overs from each end instead of switching per one over.
- There will be a two-over powerplay and the batting team will be provided an option to opt for the third in case of hitting two maximums in the two-over powerplay.
- Fans will now have an option to vote for ‘free-hit’ through app or website
