Towards the concluding moments of the match between India and Australia, the Chennai crowd started singing 'Vande Mataram. It was a wonderful moment, as the whole crowd started singing the song. As India approached closer towards victory, the moment was witnessed in the stadium. The fans and players were happy with what they had achieved till that point in time.
Australia won the toss and elected to bat first on a tricky wicket in Chennai. They managed to score only 199 runs with the bat. No batter could stay longer in the middle, as the Indian bowlers constantly kept chipping in with wickets in the middle overs. Ravindra Jadeja was highly impressive with the ball. The left-arm off-spinner bowled 10 overs, conceded only 28 runs, bowled 2 maiden overs, and claimed 3 wickets.
Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin were brilliant with the ball as well. The spin trio of Indians claimed 6 wickets for themselves. Kuldeep and Jasprit Bumrah claimed 2 wickets each and troubled the Australian batters. Steve Smith and David Warner got starts but could not convert them to big ones. India had to chase 200 runs in Chennai to clinch the win.
