The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has reportedly acquired the land at the price of Rs.121 crores. The Indian cricket board is expected to spend Rs. 331 crores on the construction of the stadium which can accommodate approximately 30,000 spectators. The stadium will be built on the theme of the elements related to Lord Shiva such as crescent-shaped roof covers, floodlights shaped like Tridents, and various structures representing a Damru.
