In just 24 hours the 2023 ODI World Cup will begin in Ahmedabad. The first game will witness England facing New Zealand in the Narendra Modi Stadium. With the World Cup being held in India the pressure is high on the Indian players. The players are under pressure not only to win the World Cup but also to help with match tickets.

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli put up a hilarious Instagram story regarding the issue. What’s more! Even his wife Anushka Sharma joined in the fray and had her say on the issue and the actress also posted a hilarious reply.

India is set to start its 2023 ODI World Cup campaign on the 8^th of October in Chennai. The first game for Rohit Sharma and his team is against five-time champions Australia. Both teams have played each other twice this year in the ODI format in a three-match series.

Virat Kohli’s Instagram story on ticketing hassles goes viral –

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has put up a rather hilarious appeal. The 34-year-old took to Instagram and posted a story addressing the ticketing issues. Kohli wrote “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all through the tournament. Enjoy from your homes please”

Anushka Sharma too chimed in and wrote “And let me just add, please don’t request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding”. This story went viral in minutes and amused a lot of fans both the cricketer and his actress better half.

Virat Kohli is set to join the Indian team in Chennai ahead of the first 2023 ODI World Cup game this Sunday. The 34-year-old did not travel with the team when they landed in Kerala last weekend. Kohli had to fly back home to tend to some personal emergency hence missing the flight.

India’s preparation for the 2023 ODI World Cup faced another setback on Tuesday. Rains abandoned the second and final warm-up game against the Netherlands. The game was called off due to constant downpour which has been lashing Kerala for the last few days.

The Indian team’s previous warm-up game in Guwahati against England was also washed out due to rain. Rohit Sharma will hope the rain stays away in Chennai during their opening match of the 2023 ODI World Cup against Australia.
