On Wednesday, Nepal played the first Men's cricket game of the ongoing Asian Games against Mongolia. They shattered many records in this match against the East Asian team. This is the fourth day of the Asian Games and the women's cricket event recently concluded as India won the gold medal by beating Sri Lanka in the final.
Now, Nepal batters smacked the bowlers all around the park as they posted the highest-ever total in the T20I cricket. They scored 314 runs in their 20 overs. With Kushal Malla and Dipendra Singh Airee shattering individual records in the T20I cricket. The former scored the fastest century in just 34 balls, surpassing the records of Rohit Sharma and David Miller.
Dipendra Singh Airee, the young allrounder. also surpassed the record of the fastest fifty of Yuvraj Singh off 12 balls. The 24-year-old young sensation scored a half-century off just 9 balls, hitting 8 sixes and striking at a rate of 520.

Dipendra broke Yuvraj Singh's long-held record of fastest T20I half-century. The latter scored during the 2007 World Cup against England in just 12 balls, where he hit Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over. On the other hand, the Nepali batter scored in just nine deliveries. He ended with an unbeaten score of 52 in 10 balls, with 48 of them coming in sixes. The record was broken after 16 years.
Nepal made a decent start to their innings at the Zhejiang University of Technology Cricket Field in Hangzhou, with both openers playing at a strike rate lower than 100. Kushal Malla and skipper Rohit Paudel stitched a 193-run partnership. The former scored a century in just 34 balls, he was unbeaten after scoring 137 runs in 50 balls, hitting eight fours and 12 sixes, with an amazing strike rate of 274,
There are three groups with three teams each in the first round of the men's competition at the Asian Games. The top-placed side from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, to face against India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
