IPL 2024 Trade drama keeps fans glued to their seats –

On Saturday it was reported that Hardik Pandya will go back to Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2024 season. There were more shocks on Sunday the day of the IPL retention and release date to be submitted by all the teams.

Gujarat Titans had decided to retain the services of Hardik Pandya which surprised a lot of fans and experts. This was because it was reported on Saturday that a deal between the two teams was pretty close. The reported sum of money was INR 15 Crores.

It was speculated that Mumbai Indians will release Jofra Archer and Cameron Green but the Australian all-rounder stayed put. As expected though, Jofra Archer was released along with Chris Jordan and Riley Meredith.

Once the teams had given their list of players retained and released there was another new development. Sports Tak revealed that Cameron Green had been traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore. The exact terms or details of the trade aren’t yet known but it would be for a huge sum of money as Green was brought for INR 17.5 Crores.

Mumbai Indians did not waste time as they decided to use the funds on the trade of Hardik Pandya. One is still not sure how much was paid for Hardik Pandya and how much money the three teams are left with. RCB had a purse of INR 40.75 Crores while Mumbai had INR 15.75 Crores with GT having INR 13.85 Crores left.
