In the build-up to the fourth T20I clash between India and Australia, renowned cricket commentator Aakash Chopra has provided his insights into the potential changes in India's playing XI in the 4th T20I against Australia in Raipur. In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Chopra hinted at alterations in both the bowling and batting departments.

According to Chopra, there's a possibility that Prasidh Krishna might sit out this match, making way for either Mukesh Kumar or Deepak Chahar. The return of Mukesh Kumar, who has been actively participating in the nets is also highly possible.

Shreyas Iyer's return to the squad is likely to shake things up in the batting order. Chopra speculates that Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma might not make it to the playing XI for this crucial encounter. The former India opener suggests that Shreyas Iyer's presence could lead to a reshuffling of the order, ensuring that Ishan Kishan is not relegated to a lower position resulting in the potential ouster of the young wicketkeeper batter.

Chopra emphasizes the importance of Shreyas Iyer's batting position, suggesting that he could take the No. 3 spot, followed by Suryakumar Yadav at No. 4. The domino effect of these changes may see Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma getting opportunities in the playing XI

He said, "There is scope for changes in the Indian team. A little birdie told me that two or three changes might happen. One is simple - Prasidh Krishna might not play this match, either Mukesh Kumar or Deepak Chahar might play in his place. Mukesh Kumar has come back. He was bowling in the nets."

He further added, "Shreyas Iyer has come back and he will play. I have heard both Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma might not play. I cannot confirm or verify that I have heard rumours. If they don't play, you might see both Jitesh Sharma and Shreyas Iyer playing."

You don’t want to touch both the openers: Akash Chopra

Akash Chopra doesn’t see the team management tinkering with the openers as they have been giving swift starts to India and their combination will not be tinkered. He said, “So there is a possibility that because of one person (Shreyas) coming in, you have to make two changes. You neither want to touch Yashasvi nor do you want to move Ruturaj. So that's what I am thinking."

While predicting these changes, Chopra acknowledges the challenges in adjusting the batting lineup after the incoming of Shreyas Iyer. He highlights that a delicate balance is required to incorporate Shreyas Iyer without unsettling the successful formula established in the earlier matches.
