Liverpool have been short of a midfielder of late. Earlier, Jurgen Klopp wasn't very keen on signing one. However, he has now admitted his failure after their slow start to the season. The Reds, who are known for their flourishing start, failed to emulate the same this season. As of now, they have two losses, one draw and one win to their name.

Jurgen Klopp, the German admitted his failure and said that they are desperately looking for a mid-fielder before the deadline on Thursday. He did not shy away from admitting his mistake and added that the proper fight back would be to find a way back going into the clashes ahead.

Following the loss against Manchester United, a long meeting took place and some crucial points were discussed albeit the team won the next match against AFC Bournemouth 9-0 on Saturday.

"The good thing about this meeting is I feel much better after it. It is not that I shout at the players, not at all. It is about putting things in perspective, what we did well and what we didn’t do well," the German was quoted as saying.

The 55-year-old was happy to rub off the claims of the outsiders and opined on the importance of the talks within the team. He added that the team meeting was about what was needed and not what others opined about the Reds' poor start.

"For us and for me it is clear what we have to do. We talk about pretty much everything, especially the important things for us," he added further. The manager then went on to villainize himself and said that he was wrong in not signing a midfielder earlier. "Yes, I am the one who said we don’t need a midfielder - and you were all right and I was wrong. Now we are going for a midfielder," Klopp added.

Liverpool are keen on roping in a reputed midfielder ahead of Thursday's deadline albeit the team needs to work together to get things back on track.
