Liverpool haven’t got going this season of the Premier League after failing to win in any of the three Premier League encounters that they have played in. Forward Luis Diaz though looks calm and composed. He believes that there is no need to panic and that things are well and truly under control.
The situation is not “problematic” at the moment for the players or for the manager Jurgen Klopp, the attacker said.
Liverpool ended at the second position just below league champions Manchester City in the previous season but they have hit rock bottom this time, languishing at the sixteenth position on the points table. They have only 2 points from the three games played thus far.
“It’s been a bit of a difficult start,” Diaz told Sky Sports.
“It’s not quite the outset we wanted for the season. We’re a club that goes out to win three points from every game we play.
“I wouldn’t say it’s problematic for the players or for the manager but certainly we all know that we need to do better.”
The Merseyside club will want to get points on the board and get their first win when they play Bournemouth, who just got promoted. The fixture will take place on Saturday. They had put on a strong show last season but have failed to replicate the form this season.
Liverpool’s strength lies in scoring goals. Sadly, the goals haven’t been scored till now. In the three games played, they have drawn 2 of them and lost 1. Liverpool thrive on a strong midfield and defense but they have not played to their potential this season.
If Liverpool are to have a great season then they must step up as a unit. They have got in a new signing for 100 Million called Darwin Nunez, who has been the only bright spot for them so far. He has scored goals for them. But, the need of the hour is consistency for Liverpool at this stage of the Premier League.
