The player signings in the Saudi Pro League (SPL) are one of the major headlines in the footballing world at the moment owing to the big deals and huge amounts of money. It first attracted the headlines when Al Nassr signed the legendary centre-forward Cristiano Ronaldo last season.

Following that, the series included former Rela Madrid star Karim Benzema and his compatriot N’Golo Kante; these two stars were also signed by the clubs in Saudi Arabia. Apart from this, there was one more signing that grabbed the eyeballs and it was of none other than the Brazilian star Neymar. He was earlier in French club PSG, alongside Argentine skipper and French star Kylian Mbappe.

The renowned French club Paris Saint-Germain signed the Brazilian star Neymar six years back in the year 2017. They spent a huge sum of Euro 222 million. Neymar had a brilliant and illustrious tenure with PSG as he scored 118 goals in all the tournaments, he played for his club. But still, he went without being a part of the Champions League trophy-winning team.

Now, he will play for Al Hilal for a sum of Euro 90 million, his contract with PSG ended earlier this year followed by the departure of legendary Argentine skipper Lionel Messi from the club.

Karim Benzema – Al Ittihad

The star Frenchman is the defending champion of the coveted Ballon d’Or award, his contract with Spanish club Real Madrid. He will now play for Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League. This deal closed for a sum of Euro 200 million. He already had 25 titles to his name before moving to Saudi Arabia’s one of the most successful clubs.

Benzema has won five Champions League trophies, alongside four La Liga trophies during his stint with the previous club Real Madrid.

Aymeric Laporte – Al Nassr

Aymeric Laporte was part of a historic treble last season, now he will be joining Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. He will team up with the star Portuguese international and legendary centre-forward Cristiano Ronaldo. The club spent Euro 25 million per season to land Laporte in their squad for the next three years.

He was one of the key elements in the strong defence of Manchester City during their historic treble, under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.

N’Golo Kante – Al Ittihad

Kante was a vital cog in the wheel for his national team France when they registered a historic title win in the FIFA World Cup 2018. He will now join Al Ittihad for the next three years following the end of his contract with the previous English club Chelsea this year.

The Asian champions will be getting the services of N’Golo Kante after his brilliant performances in England club football.

Sadio Mane – Al Nassr

Bayern Munich signed Sadio Mane for almost a year, he will also be a part of Al Nassr’s dressing room, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, and former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte. Sadio Mane will be there with Al Nassr for the next four years. He played 38 matches for Bayern Munich and registered 12 goals to his name.

Sadio Mane was earlier with Bayern Munich after they signed him on the 1st of July 2022. Prior to that, he was with the English giants Liverpool for a period of 6 years from 2016 to 2022.
