He was born in a remote village on the Caribbean Island named Baracara where there was no internet, no proper cricket ground, and no connectivity. There were even no proper grounds and equipment and Shamar and his friends used to play with making a ball out of melted plastic bottles and fruits.

Cricket wasn't always encouraged in the Joesph family as his parents prioritized religious activities activities on Saturdays and wanted him to devote it to God too. But Joseph's love for the game burned bright. He moved to New Amsterdam, juggling security guard and construction work to stay afloat. 

Days were long, but his dream was bigger. Finally, with family support, he left his job, fully committed to cricket. His journey from Baracara to cricketing stardom is a testament to the power of dreams, hard work, and never giving up, no matter the odds.
