26-year-old right-hand batter from Victoria has been injured and subbed out in the Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania on March 3 in Hobart. He was struck on his head by fast bowler Riley Meredith's bouncer.
Pucovski has not had a good time on the cricket field for a year. He struck on his head a dozen times in his career. He was facing his second ball and struck on his head by Meredith’s bouncer. Everybody on the ground was shell-shocked. He immediately fell down on the pitch. The medical team of Victoria went to the ground quickly and after some time Pucovski retired out for concussion.

Campbell Kellaway came into playing eleven as a concussion substitute
After winning the toss Victoria chose to field. The first innings of Tasmania ended on 240 runs. Will Sutherland picked up five-fer for 73 runs. In response, Victoria’s first innings ended on only 106 runs. They have played only 32 overs. Will Pucovski scored 22 runs in the first innings. Gabe Bell picked up 4 wickets for Tasmania. Tasmania scored 307 runs in the second innings. Batter Beau Webster scored a brilliant 167.
Victoria need 442 runs to win. They had a brilliant start and added 178 runs for the first wicket. Nic Maddinson scored a brilliant ton, That injury incident happened when Nic Maddinson fell at 109. Pucovski came to the crease and got struck on his head when he was facing the second ball. Meredith bowled a short bowl bouncer, Pucovski tried to duck the ball but it struck his head.
“Pucovski, who walked from the field, is being monitored by medical staff, more information will be provided at a later stage” Cricket Victoria said in their statement.
Right-handed batter from Australia, Pucovski debuted in 2021 against India. He scored 72 runs on that Test. Concussion Substitute is not a new thing for Pucovski. Even last month he got injured after getting struck on the head against New South Wales at SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) after making a fantastic century.
