The Test series in South Africa might not have been the long-awaited series win for the Indians in the rainbow nation, but it was still a memorable one. The Indians came back after facing an innings defeat in the Boxing Day Test in Centurion by winning the 2nd Test and levelling the series 1-1.
The 2nd Test victory at the Newlands in Cape Town was still a massive achievement as it was the visitor's first victory at the venue. This also makes them the first Asian team to win in Cape Town against South Africa. It might have been one of the most unusual wins for the Indians and one of the shortest Test matches in history, but it does not mean that the Indians will not cherish the moment completely.
The man at the helm of affairs who was leading the side was none other than Rohit Sharma. The hitman has literally seen everything in the game right from the start of his career. From being left out of the 2011 World Cup, to being one of the successful skippers for both franchise and nation.
Rohit has a win rate of above 70% in all formats of the game right now and is one of the modern greats as well. The 36 yr old opening batter along with being a great leader has equally brilliant stats with over 18000 international runs and 45 international hundreds making him one of the top 5 Indian run scorers and top 5 most hundreds in International cricket for an Indian batter.
The hitman arrives at home
The India skipper was spotted at the airport returning home after the series in South Africa and was seen in normal casuals and shades. Rohit was still looking like a boss while he was engaging with his fans. This also showed the same amount of confidence he showed on the cricket field while he was walking out and facing the media. It was an absolute boss moment for Rohit as he was posing in a chilled manner while looking to have a sense of authority while he was walking out.
Watch the video below-
This shows that Rohit is not only one of the most talented and greatest batters in Indian cricket right now, but also a great personality off the field, where he still looked professional and cool even though he was just wearing a baseball cap, shades and some shorts. This shows why the man has a huge fan base and is one of the most loved players in modern-day cricket as well. It will be interesting to see what he has planned further for the England Test series and the future tournaments coming up.
