WATCH: Rohit Sharma accidently declares innings in 3rd Test vs England

The 3^rd Test vs England ended on a positive note for India as they completely demolished the England side by 434 runs. Right from day 1, the Indian team had the better of the England team on a flat track in Rajkot. The only positive moment for the England team was the wonderful century by Ben Duckett in the first innings, where the opener tried to get his team out of trouble. The bowlers were also completely off-colour in the game, leaking runs in the middle. This was a game that completely belonged to the hosts.

There were a lot of great performances by the Indian players. In the first innings, it was Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja, who scored important centuries to create a solid platform in the 1^st innings of the game. In the second, it was Yashasvi Jaiswal, with his aggressive mindset, who went on to score a brilliant double hundred to get his team to put up a massive total of 430 and end with a lead of 556. The England batters had completely folded for 122 to give India the victory and the lead of 2-1 in the series.

During the second innings of the match, Jaiswal and debutante Sarfaraz Khan were completely dominating the England bowlers. It was only a matter of time before Rohit would finally declare. India did finally declare on 430 with one session to of the day. However, there was also an instance where Rohit had declared earlier, but then he straight away denied it as soon as everyone walked towards the dressing rooms. This created a lot of confusion among the players and the officials. There was also a heated argument among both the teams as well.

This was a mistake that has already gone viral on X and there will be a lot of memes made on this matter. Even though this clip will make the India skipper slightly infamous, we cannot forget how well he has played in this game and led the side beautifully. Rohit is currently one of the most successful captains for India. No matter what people will say about this incident, there should not be a completely negative reaction to it at all. It was a mistake made by the hitman and this should not be something that should define him in the ongoing series.
