Australia and West Indies are squaring off against each other in the final ODI of the three-match series at Canberra. Australia gained an unassailable lead of 2-0 by winning the first two ODIs comfortably against a depleted West Indies side.
West Indies entered the match to get a morale-boosting victory in the final ODI after a spirited performance in the Test series but were again left disappointed as they got bundled out for a mere 87 runs with only young Alick Athanaze showing some fight with his 32 runs. Xavier Bartlett was the pick of the bowlers for Australia and picked 4 key wickets whereas Lance Morris and Adam Zampa picked two scalps each.
Marnus Labuschagne's brilliant effort to dismiss Keacy Carty
But the pick of the match was the stupendous catch of Marnus Labuschagne at the point to dismiss Keacy Carty in the 11th over of the game. Lance Morris bowled a back-of-a-length delivery to Keacy Carty on a spicy Canberra deck.
Carty was unable to come on the top of the bounce which resulted in an uppish backfoot cut towards the backward point only to find the safe hands of Marnus Labuschagne who leapt towards his right to grab a two-hand stunner to dismiss Keacy Carty and helped Morris get his maiden ODI wicket.

Australia won the toss and opted to field. The home team had a fortunate beginning when Xavier Bartlett dismissed West Indies opener Kjorn Ottley for 8, securing an LBW decision. Although the on-field umpire signalled out, Bartlett would have faced a different outcome had Ottley opted for the Decision Review System (DRS), as video replays revealed a distinct inside edge.
After that, the Australian bowling was all over the West Indies batters and got them all out for just 87 under 25 overs. Australia chased down the short total pretty easily in just -- overs with openers Josh Inglis and Jake Fraser McGurk getting off to a flyer. Although West Indies got some two Australian wickets towards the end in the end, Australia handed a humiliating defeat to West Indies by chasing the target under 7 overs with 8 wickets remaining and cleanly sweeping the ODI series by 3-0.
