Talking about cricket, India thrashed the arch-rivals, Pakistan by a massive margin of 7 wickets in the eighth face-off in the ODI World Cup history. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian bowlers completely outmuscled Pakistan's batting attack and bundled them out on the score of 191 runs in 42.5 overs. None of the Pakistan batters could score the big knocks except 49 and 50 runs scored by Mohammad Rizwan and skipper Babar Azam.

While chasing the target, India comfortably crossed the line in 30.3 overs courtesy of skipper Rohit Sharma’s swashbuckling knock of 86 runs off just 63 balls, hitting 6 fours and 6 sixes. His batting heroics was followed by the unbeaten knock of 53 runs, played by Shreyas Iyer to finish the things in India’s favour.

Now, India are placed at the top of the points table in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, surpassing New Zealand, who also have equal points with three successive wins in their first three matches.

Now, India will play their next match against Bangladesh on Thursday, October 19 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
